Description
MAGNOLIGHT POWDER is a basic covering agent for ladle and tundish. MAGNOLIGHT POWDER serves to protect the melt from heat loss as well as reoxidation during casting. A significant advantage of MAGNOLIGHT POWDER over conventional covering agents is the medical aspect. The SiO2 contained in the product is mineralogically bound and therefore harmless in terms of occupational health.

Grain size: 0 - 0.5 mm
Application
MAGNOLIGHT POWDER is applied evenly to the bath surface, depending on the ladle or tundish geometry, at a rate of 1 - 3 kg/ton of steel, so that a finger-thick layer is formed. Compared to the also used rice husk ash, MAGNOLIGHT POWDER is basic - this results in a low attack on the refractory lining.
