Slide gate filler for the ladle
Description

 

SFS is a slide gate filler for the steel ladle based on quartzite. Due to a specifically defined grain size distribution as well as a specially developed coating of the grain, SFS results in a reduction of the cutting time by means of oxygen lances compared to comparable slide gate filler sands.

Bulk density: 1.5 kg / dm³

Application

 

Similar to conventional slide gate filler sands, SFS is normally introduced by means of a downpipe. Depending on the slide gate hole geometry, the specific consumption may vary accordingly and is determined experimentally depending on the application.
