SYNTOP
Synthetic slags for the ladle
Description
SYNTOP is the name of the product family of our synthetic top slags which basically cover the range of primary to tertiary metallurgy. In addition to a range of proven standard mixtures, a mechanical mixture of the required constituents such as CaO, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2 is produced depending on the requirement profile of the steel and the customer's wishes.
Typical grain size: 0 - 5 mm
Application
Secondary metallurgy is carried out in special equipment such as ladle furnace, VD, VOD using a metallurgically active slag. Renewal of the slag after tapping with the help of a synthetic top slag supports desulfurization and deoxidation, increases the degree of purity and reduces heat losses and reoxidation of the melt. The aim of using SYNTOP is to achieve reproducible high-quality steel grades by creating constant framework conditions.
